Mobile Watch
Franklin Mobile Watch welcomes new volunteers. Members volunteer one day (or more) per month to patrol the streets of Franklin watching for any suspicious activity to report to the Franklin Police. Patrolling takes approximately 2 hours and can be done during day or evening hours. 
 
Franklin-Bingham Fire Department
The department is completely volunteer. Members serve without compensation. Residents and other interested persons age 18 or older can serve as:
Fire Fighters - Requires successful completion of State of Michigan Fire Fighter I certification. Will be sponsored by the Fire Department for probationary members.
Emergency Medical Personnel - Requires successful completion of State of Michigan criteria for Medical First Responder License. Will be sponsored by the Fire Department for probationary members.
Support Team - Requires your special skill, talent or willingness to get involved that can assist the efficient, cost effective operation of the department.
 
Franklin Community Association

Volunteers are welcome and needed for community  wide events including the annual Labor Day Round Up, Franklin Winter Festival, and Wine Tasting Event.  The FCA is now sponsoring the Labor Day Art Show, now called "Art in the Village".  Please contact Jane Polan, 248.626.2231 for additional information and to lend your help.

Music on the Green
       
The Franklin Arts Council sponsors Music on the Green, a summer concert series, each Wednesday night in  July.  This year's (2010) dates are as follows: 
Wiley Coyote Band (7/14/10), Steve King and the Dittilies (7/21/10), Paisley Fogg (7/28/10).

 
Franklin Baseball League
Volunteers, preferably with a little baseball experience, are always needed at the Board level and to coach and manage teams. Umpires are actively recruited each season. An umpire must be at least 13 years of age, and must attend at least one umpiring clinic at the beginning of the season. Pay for umpires ranges from $13 to $25 per game, depending on the age level of the game supervised.
