EMERALD ASH BORER
The Emerald Ash Borer, an invasive metallic wood-boring beetle from Asia, has killed thousands of trees in Southeast Michigan. Consequently, much of the area is under quarantine. Information (March 2005) is available on the Emerald Ash Borer website listed below, about the chemical imidicloprid which has met with some success in recent studies in Oakland County. WEST NILE VIRUS PREVENTION OR REPORTING
Larvicide briquettes are available at the Village Hall for Village residents. The briquettes are for use in standing water to eliminate mosquito larva before they hatch.
