Elections
All school, federal and state elections are
administered by the Southfield Township Clerk; local
elections are administered by the Village Clerk and all
polling locations are located at the Franklin Community
Church.
Pursuant to state election law, polls are open from 7:00
am to 8:00 pm on all election days. You must vote at the
polling place for the precinct in which you reside.
Primaries for national, state and township elections are
in August; elections are held in November of
even-numbered years. Village elections are held in
September of odd-numbered years.

Residents of both Franklin precincts (8 & 9) vote at the
Franklin Community Church. Franklin Precinct 8 –
Consists of the area north of 13 Mile and east of
Franklin Rd. and the area north of Scenic and west of
Franklin Rd. Franklin Precinct 9 – Consists of the area
south of 13 Mile and the area south of Scenic and west
of Franklin Rd.
