Village Administrator
The Village Administrator position was created by
ordinance in 1999. The Administrator is selected by the
Village President with the concurrence of a majority of
the Village Council. The Village Administrator has a
separate employment contract with the Village that
stipulates the wage and level of benefits. It is a full
time, at will position. The Administrator is responsible
to the Village Council for the efficient and effective
administration of the affairs of the Village. The
Administrator exercises management supervision over all
non-elective departments of the Village and over all
property owned or leased by the Village.
Functions and duties of the position include
responsibility for personnel management; supervise the
accounting and budgeting functions; act as purchasing
agent; investigate complaints or inquiries concerning
the administration of the Village; manage contracts and
enforce Village ordinances.
